It is week 1 of the NEW Dinner Menu.
Mon: Normal School Day. Adult Zumba Class 7-8pm.
Tue: Infant Nativity 2.15pm and 6pm in School. Adult Zumba class 7-8pm.
Wed: Normal School Day.
Thu: Junior Carol Service 2.15pm in School and 6.30pm in Church.
Fri: Infant Christmas Party.
Christmas Parties
Pupils can come to school in their own clothes on their Christmas Party Day, please make sure that your child wears sensible clothes and footwear as the school time table and playtimes will run as usual during the morning.
Christmas Cards
If pupils would like to send Christmas cards to their friends in school the school Christmas post box will be in the Entrance Hall from Monday 5th December. Alternatively, if you would like to make a donation to Samira our Sponsored Child in lieu of Christmas Cards, pupils could send just one card to be displayed in their class. If sending in a donation for Samira please do so in a labelled envelope (cheques made payable to St Luke’s School).
Year 3 Swimming
There will be no swimming until Wednesday 18th January 2012.
Buy a Personalised Brick
You should have received a letter this week regarding our ‘Personalised Brick Wall’, if you would like to buy a brick please return your order form and payment to school by 31st January 2012. Friends of the School, Church and community are also welcome to buy bricks, please contact the school office for further details.
Dates For Your Diary
- The Infant Nativity will be held on Tuesday 13th December in school at 2.15pm and 6pm.
- The Junior Carol Concert will be held on Thursday 15th December at 2.15pm in school and 6.30pm in Church. The Grand Christmas Draw will take place at the end of the afternoon performance.
- Infant Christmas Party – Friday 16th December
- Lower Junior Christmas Party – Monday 19th December
- Upper Junior Christmas Party – Tuesday 20th December
- Christmas Assembly – Wednesday 21st December 2.30pm
St Luke’s Church Christmas Tree Festival
Please support St Luke’s Church Christmas Tree Festival this weekend, the Church will be open on 9th,10th and 11th December to view the trees. There will also be refreshments, a bran tub, tombola, bring and buy and raffle.
School have sponsored a tree at the festival and each class has helped in decorating it – many thanks to Mrs Ward for the time she has spent designing our School Christmas Tree, we think it looks amazing!
Dinner Money
Please note that after Christmas school meals will cost £2.00 per day or £10.00 per full week.
School Debt Policy
The school debt policy has been reviewed by the School Governors, a copy is available from the school website or the school office.
Hospice Teddies
Wigan and Leigh Hospice Christmas Teddies are on sale in school. The cost of the teddies is £1.50 and money should be sent into school in a labelled envelope.
Christmas Competition
Once again we are running our annual Christmas Competition, five different Christmas pictures/symbols will appear on the newsletter. Please make a note of these and complete the entry form which will appear on the newsletter on 16th December. The competition will be drawn on Wednesday 21st December (last day of school).
