Mon – Normal School Day. Adult Zumba Class 7-8pm.
Tue – Guitar/Violin Lesson. Street Dance 6.15 – 7pm age 6 – 11 years. Adult Zumba class 7-8pm.
Wed – Year 5+6 Church. Woodwind Lessons. Year 3 Swimming. Confirmation Class.
Thu – Year 1 Class Assembly.
Fri – Piano/Keyboard Lessons. RED DRESS DAY.

The Christian Value This term Is Thankfulness

As you may be aware on Tuesday 24th January Lowton West School were evacuated to our school. Mrs Groves and Mr Hardaker would like to thank all the pupils at St Luke’s for their wonderful behaviour and co operation on Tuesday – they are very proud of you all.

Buy a Personalised Brick
If you would like to buy a brick for the personalised brick wall which will be part of our new building please return your order form and payment to school by 31st January 2012. Friends of the school, Church and community are also welcome to buy bricks, please contact the school office for further details.

Red Dress Day
On Friday we are asking the pupils to dress in red for Heart Awareness Day. Please send in a minimum donation of £1.00 in a labelled envelope, all funds raised will be sent to Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.

Hospice Teddies
Thank you to everyone who bought Hospice teddies, £232.92 was raised for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Christingle
Everyone is welcome to celebrate Christingle at St Luke’s Church on Sunday 29th January at 9.45am. Pupils have brought collection tubes home from school and any funds raised will be used by the Children’s Society to help vulnerable children across the country. The filled tubes can either be handed in at school or taken to Church on the 29th January when the children will receive a Christingle orange.

All parents, carers and grandparents are welcome at our coffee morning in the infant library prior to the assemblies starting and seats will be reserved in the hall for anyone attending the coffee morning.

Well done
Congratulations to Jack Grundy and Abigail Nuttall from year 5 who represented school in the ‘Know Your Voice’ competition at Lowton High School yesterday. Jack and Abigail performed their speech fantastically in front of a large audience. We are extremely proud of their achievement.
