Year 6 class assembly 10am.

Piano/Keyboard/Brass lessons.
Y1 Superkidz at Golborne High.

Hats For Haiti
Thank you to all the families who have supported this event, we have had some fantastic hats in school today and appear to have raised a wonderful amount of money for Haiti.  We will let you know the total raised on the next newsletter.

Class assemblies
Tea and coffee are served in the infant library from 9am on the mornings of the class assemblies.  Please feel welcome to join us and a seat will be reserved for you in the hall to watch the assembly.

25th February: Year 6
4th March: Year 2
11th March: Reception
18th March: year 5

DVDs of all class assemblies are available from school, please send £3.00 per DVD into school in an envelope labelled with your child’s name and which DVD they would like.

Robin Wood
There will be a parents meeting on Tuesday 2nd March at 6pm in year 5 classroom pupils are invited.

Lunch Boxes
Could we please remind parents/carers that packed lunches should be sent into school in lunch bags/boxes and not in carrier bags and that any uneaten food should be taken home and disposed of.  Unfortunately over recent months we have had a growing collection of carrier bags with food remnants left around the playground, not only is this unsightly but it also encourages vermin onto the school premises which is something we are keen to avoid.  Could parents also label lunch boxes with their child’s name and remind them to bring them home in the evening.

Friends Of St Luke’s
The next Friends of St Luke’s meeting will be on Monday 8th March at 7pm in school.

Year 5 Lane Head History Walk
Please ensure that your child is wearing sensible shoes and has a warm/waterproof coat with them for this walk.

Year 4 Ordsall Hall
Ordsall Hall Staff will be visiting year 4 on Tuesday, please could all contributions towards this visit be sent into school ASAP.

Water Bottles
Please do not put water bottles in school bags as they have been leaking on the children’s books.

Key Rings
The photo key rings will be picked up from school on Thursday 25th February, please return your order before then.

Parking
Please could parents not park in the Kitchen Loading Bay when picking up or dropping off children for/from appointments as this has been causing disruption to the deliveries.

Golborne High School
Golborne High School will be holding a reunion on 6th March at Lowton Civic Hall, tickets are £10 from Golborne High School Office.  Please contact the Golborne High for further information 01942 726842.
